Precise placement of concrete spacers is essential for the structural integrity of concrete structures. Current methods are time-consuming and require higher expertise. No product offers multifunctionality. They occasionally result in inaccuracies, leading to potential structural weaknesses and an increased risk of failures.

Existing rebar spacers do not integrate connection points within themselves, thus failing to create links with other construction areas. Current product systems cannot adequately adapt to the changing demands of modern construction practices. Although numerous flexible construction systems exist, their load-bearing capacity is gradually decreasing, leading to a rise in the number of failures.

Construction projects often require extensive orientation knowledge, and its absence can lead to inaccurate measurements and, thus, errors. Traditional spacers lack the features to assist with orientation on the construction site.

Traditional methods of placing concrete spacers are complex, taking years to be learnt and requiring skilled labor which varies significantly across continents. The shortage of qualified workers often results in higher costs and extended project timelines.

The construction industry significantly contributes to environmental pollution, primarily through excessive material waste and high carbon dioxide emissions. Low-quality plastic spacers often get damaged during construction work, making proper material handling more difficult and significantly growing landfill waste.

IN STRUCTURAL CONSTRUCTION AND BEYOND

Spacer Cone ensures precise spacing for both the lower and upper reinforcement bars in concrete structures, increasing the safety and durability of the structures. The product's installation time is at least 10% shorter, taking 53 minutes for 36 m² compared to the 1 hour and 2 minutes required for traditional spacers. With regular use this can achieve up to 30% faster installation.

Spacer Cone combines multiple functions, reducing the need for additional tools and materials. It provides versatile connection points that optimize installation across various construction segments – from foundation systems to slab edges and even partition walls. Its integrated design eliminates the need for additional materials like dowels and plugs, offering a comprehensive alternative compared to existing market products.

The product has orientation-marking capabilities. This feature simplifies the structural alignment of elements, making the process faster and reducing errors, thereby improving efficiency on the construction site.

The system can be mastered in a few weeks instead of months, allowing even unskilled workers to use it effectively. By simplifying the placement process of reinforcements, it reduces the required time and workforce, thereby lowering the cost of the given construction phase by up to 10%.

The product, made from 100% recycled materials, reduces reliance on virgin resources and decreases the amount of plastic waste. This technology can save up to 0.9 million tons of CO₂ annually through reduced concrete usage, as well as thousands of tons of sand each year. Furthermore, by reusing up to 10% of Europe’s annual 25 million tons of plastic waste, it could divert 2.5 million tons from landfills.

MORE THAN JUST A SPACER PRODUCT

The Spacer Cone represents an entirely new construction approach, so called internal grid construction method. This system provides a high level of control over building dimensions. Additional product families, such as partition walls, raised floors, and suspended ceilings, can connect to the core spacer product, forming an interconnected system. One of its key principles is 'poka-yoke', which ensures error-proof usage by eliminating incorrect application.

600 KG LOAD CAPACITY

The spacer cone has reached Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL), meaning it is fully market-ready and, based on patent analysis, has achieved the peak of its technological development. Certified tests have shown that the product maintains stability up to a load of over 600 kg, whereas current spacers are typically designed for approximately 150 kg.

ETA CERTIFICATION IN PROGRESS

By the end of 2025, the complete product system, which represents a unique and previously non-existent technology on the market, will obtain ETA certification, further supporting its reliability and necessity.

STABILITY VERIFIED BY BETON VEREINIGUNG
